Workshop Schedule

Arrival:
The workshop begins promptly at 9:30am

9:30am – 11:45am
Enjoy a private photography session with a variety of our stunning birds, both static and in flight. You will have the opportunity to capture them on natural perches and in flight.

12:00pm – 12:40pm (approx.)
Join the first public flying display, which you are welcome to photograph. This display showcases several of our birds in dynamic flight.

Lunch Break
Feel free to bring your own packed lunch, or you can purchase refreshments and hot meals from our on-site café, which serves a selection of toasties, cakes and drinks.

1:30pm – 2:00pm
Attend the second public flying display where more birds will take flight, giving another fantastic opportunity for action shots.

2:00pm – 2:45pm
Return to a private session for more static and flying photography. This will be another opportunity to photograph some magnificent birds from natural perches before they take flight.

3:00pm – 3:40pm (approx.)
End the day with the final public flying display, open for you to photograph as the birds perform impressive aerial displays once more.

After the Workshop
While the photography portion of the workshop concludes after the final display, you are welcome to continue exploring the centre. We remain open until 5pm, so feel free to wander, relax, and photograph the birds around the grounds at your leisure.

Recommended camera equipment:

For these days almost any camera will suffice as you are able to get close to the birds. As a recommendation we would suggest a DSLR or mirrorless system camera, or a high end bridge camera as being your best options.

For lenses we would recommend a 70 – 200 mm or higher zoom for maximum versatility although almost any standard lens will enable you to get photos of the birds.
